RENOVATED ROOMS
We are concerned about the very high water consumption that a hotel establishment must use. While we want to reduce our consumption, we don’t want our customers to feel the pinch, so we’ve opted to install high-efficiency water-saving aerators in showerheads and taps.
According to studies, they could save up to 80% in water consumption.
RESTAURANT AND CUISINE
All the restaurant’s furniture has been carefully upgraded and brought up to date to save resources, transport costs and budget.
The restaurant floor is made of maple wood, renowned for its durability.
A policy on food waste in our kitchen
Composting is one of the ways we’re working to reduce the amount of residual waste going to landfill.
For the entire menu, we give preference to local foods. It’s not always possible to source certain foods, but our aim is to do so as much as possible and to encourage short circuits and local seasonal food.
Our maple syrup comes from Coin-du-Banc, the village next door!
Most of our spirits come from local Quebec distilleries.
The wines served in the restaurant are organic.
Our coffee is fair-trade and locally roasted.
We encourage the use of plant milk.
Our jams are homemade!
OUR RENOVATIONS
When renovating, we try as far as possible to think of our purchases as an investment, and consider their origins, materials and individual impacts.
Noble materials are used for the floors, such as cherry wood from the region.
Wood already present on the site was revitalized to make the mouldings.
The paints used to paint the renovated rooms are free of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
For the bathrooms, we used entirely recycled ceramics.
We reused certain bath bases, toilets, sinks and faucets to reduce our purchases during renovations.
COMMUNICATIONS RESPONSABLES
Our website has been designed following the principles of eco-design in an eco-responsible approach. These principles aim to minimize their impact on the environment through a visual design that reduces energy consumption, GHG emissions and the use of natural resources throughout their lifecycle, through optimal resource compression and minimalist design in dark colors.
Ecobranding principles are also applied to all our communication tools.
