The Avolo plein air experience is much more than a guided outing or sea kayak training: above all, it’s about sharing a passion for the outdoors and discovering an unspoiled wilderness. Experienced and novice customers alike can visit a unique and exotic spot on the tip of the Gaspé Peninsula: Pointe-Saint-Pierre. Our exclusivity allows you to approach the hidden gems of this geological treasure in a natural way, while contemplating its majestic flora and fauna.

This guided half-day excursion will allow you to observe the flora and fauna of Pointe-Saint-Pierre, with a menu featuring coastal geology, seabirds and aquatic fauna and flora! It teaches sea kayaking techniques and is suitable for all levels.

This breathtaking area will give you an exceptional view of our magnificent landscape, allow you to explore an island and who knows, you might even have the chance to paddle into some caves. What’s more, with the local biodiversity, you may be lucky enough to spot whales, seals and an array of seabirds. While paddling, you’ll also have the chance to learn about all these elements through various interpretive vignettes, as well as learn about the history and various techniques of sea kayaking. It’s worth noting that we’ve opted for quality equipment, enabling us to offer you the most comfortable and enjoyable outings whatever the conditions.

Yes, it’s even a wise choice of activity for rainy days. We’ll provide you with all the equipment you need to keep warm and comfortable in case of rain. The only weather conditions that can cause an outing to be cancelled are strong winds, high waves and thunderstorms.

Yes, you still have to show up if you haven’t received a cancellation notice by phone or e-mail. Avolo Plein Air is located in a microclimate where weather conditions change very quickly and vary greatly within a small area. It is therefore possible for your outing to go ahead even if conditions seem unsuitable.

You can book online below. To do this, you need to select the date and time of the outing, as well as the number of people. You must also pay the full cost of the trip by credit card (visa or mastercard). You can also book by phone. Please be sure to read the cancellation and modification conditions on our booking platform.

In the high season, we can expect our outings to be fully booked. To guarantee a place on your visit to Percé, we strongly recommend that you book online several days in advance.

We provide all the equipment you need to have a great time: wetsuit, anorak, neoprene shoes, skirt. We have several models to suit all sizes (including children’s). You’ll only need to bring the following items: swimsuit, hat or cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, snack, water bottle. To maximize your time on the water, we recommend that you first put on your swimsuit, apply sunscreen and go to the toilet.

Yes, we provide “dry bags”, i.e. waterproof bags in which you can put your fragile personal belongings. Of course, using your technological items at sea remains at your own risk, but we’ll help you protect them from the ravages of salt water.

No, we only offer guided tours. The Gulf of St. Lawrence can quickly become a hostile and dangerous environment for the inexperienced kayaker. That’s why kayak rental includes the services of an excellent guide who will show you the wonders of the Atlantic in complete safety.

We prioritize the use of double kayaks, which are more stable and better adapted to ocean conditions. However, an exception may be made for more experienced kayakers who can demonstrate their technical skills, proof/certification from a recognized federation or organization and the presence of favorable weather conditions. In all cases, the guide will have the final say on the choice of kayak, always with a view to offering you the safest and most enjoyable outing possible.

Reservation procedure
A 50% credit card deposit is required at the time of booking.

Cancellation policy
Please cancel your activity at least 7 days before the date in order to receive a refund of the 50% deposit.

Cancellations made less than 7 days before the date will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

In the event of a no-show, the entire activity will be charged to the credit card on file.

Modification conditions
Please change the date of your activity at least 72 hours (3 days) in advance.

Yes, of course, at Mother Nature’s whim. However, it’s not uncommon to see the snout of a seal or the fin of a whale. Whatever the case, you’re sure to spot a good number of seabirds, including gannets, herring gulls, black-legged kittiwakes, razorbills and guillemots.
